Pritzker and Stratton’s Spending Leaves Illinois Families Paying the Price
SPRINGFIELD – Governor Pritzker has announced that he is directing state agencies to limit spending and reserve 4 percent of the state’s fiscal year 2026 general fund. This underscores how deep the fiscal crisis is in Springfield. U.S Senate candidate Don Tracy issued the following statement in response:
"Illinois families have been reducing their own household budgets year after year as the cost of gas, groceries and government in this state have skyrocketed. They’ve had to cut everything from vacations to the food on their tables. JB Pritzker and Juliana Stratton have made Illinois unaffordable for working families, and it's time they take responsibility for their failed tax-and-spend agenda. We need leaders who will lower the cost-of-living for working families, and that's what I'll do in Washington."
