Don Tracy Congratulates New Illinois Republican Party Chairman
SPRINGFIELD — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Don Tracy congratulates former DuPage County Auditor Bob Grogan on his election as Chairman of the Illinois Republican Party and thanks outgoing Chair Kathy Salvi for her leadership and long time excellent service to the State Republican Party.
“As my successor, Chair Emeritus Kathy Salvi worked incredibly hard with great enthusiasm and personal sacrifice to help keep the party moving in a challenging environment,” said Tracy. “She cares deeply about Illinois, the Republican Party, and everyday Illinoisans. We are fortunate to have had her serve as State Party Chair.”
“Bob Grogan is a thoughtful, principled leader who understands both the challenges and opportunities facing Republicans in Illinois. All Illinois Republicans should support him in unifying the Republican Party and focusing on everyday Illinoisans, lowering the cost of living, and electing strong leaders to advance common sense solutions and represent all of Illinois, not just Chicago.”
“This is a time that demands unity. The stakes are simply too high for division and distraction. Illinois families are struggling with higher costs of living, public safety concerns in urban areas, and economic, educational and population decline in many areas of the Illinois. Republicans must stay focused on offering common sense solutions in the face of extreme agendas, and on building a coalition capable of winning statewide.
“Chairman Grogan will need support from all sides of the party. I encourage Republicans across Illinois to come together, work together, and help him succeed. Unity does not mean everyone agrees on everything. It means recognizing that united we stand, divided we fall.”
